Angie grew up on a farm near Lake Michigan where she spent most days playing outside, riding horses and imagining with her brother. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in Early Childhood Education and furthered this field of study by pursuing a Montessori Teaching Certificate. Since graduation in 1998, she has been working with children and practicing Yoga. In July 2011, she completed her Yoga Teaching Certificate with the incredible Nikki Meyers and Marsha Pappas at City Yoga in Indianapolis. For the past 3 years she has had the incredible opportunity to guide many through their yoga practice. Angie, her husband, and their two sons, make their home in West Lafayette where they share a love of music, an affinity for Lake Michigan and spend most days playing outside. "Practicing yoga centers me. It grounds me down, lifts and me up and leaves me balanced. In this state of equanimity, I have more to offer my loved ones and the world at large. I teach yoga because I want to offer people a place of solace and refuge on their mat and in this place the opportunity to cultivate awareness, peace and understanding with in themselves. Then the invitation is to take that light out into the world and share it. The light in me recognizes the light in you. Namaste
